What is an MUN?

Model United Nations

A Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students represent different countries and debate important global issues. Delegates research their assigned nation's policies, deliver speeches, engage in negotiations, and collaborate to draft resolutions addressing challenges such as international security, climate change, human rights, and economic development.

Principal

It gives me immense pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all delegates, faculty advisors, and distinguished guests to VJPS MUN 2026. At Vidya Jain Public School, Rohini, we have always believed that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but the development of informed, compassionate, and responsible individuals who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to society. Model United Nations stands as a powerful platform that brings this vision to life.

In an increasingly interconnected world, young people must possess not only academic excellence but also the ability to understand diverse perspectives, engage in constructive dialogue, and address complex global challenges with wisdom and empathy. VJPS MUN 2026 has been envisioned as an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of international relations, diplomacy, policymaking, and collaborative problem-solving.

Beyond committee sessions and resolutions, MUN is a journey of personal growth. It nurtures confidence, strengthens public speaking abilities, enhances critical thinking, and encourages leadership through service.

Best Wishes, Principal Vidya Jain Public School, Rohini

Model United Nations is one such platform that empowers students to engage with real-world issues, analyze diverse perspectives, and develop innovative solutions through meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

In today's rapidly evolving world, the ability to think critically, communicate persuasively, and work collaboratively has become more important than ever. VJPS MUN 2026 aims to cultivate these essential skills while fostering an appreciation for diplomacy, leadership, and cultural understanding.
