Let's Pray

Let's pray that our children are the charioteers of humanity who make this world a beautiful place to live in. Let our children know themselves, the purpose of their being. Let them understand that life is short and there are miles to go before the ultimate destination. Let them be cautious in choosing the course of their journey for the life may offer only few opportunities. Let them have endurance to bear the consequences of their deeds. Let them have courage to face failure and the zest to enjoy success with humility.

Amen!

Let's Offer

Let's offer them space, opportunity and environment to blossom into unique individuals, let us nurture them according to their needs. Let us respect them what they are. Let us love them what they do. Let us care for them so that they learn to care for others. Let us not limit them with our limitations of understanding and perception and values those of others.

Let's Do

Let us do all that is right for them to emulate. Let us practice the honesty of thought, words and Actions. Let us be courageous to accept our fallacy. Let us respect each other for what we are. Let us appreciate each other for our strengths. Let us help each other overcome our weaknesses. Let us be thoughtful of others and their feelings. Let us open to criticism. Let us be liberal in appreciating others.

Discipline

Discipline is not only about stopping bad behavior but also about promoting good behavior. Any inappropriate habit or behavior on part of our children tends to become the key focus of our attention and the good that our children do, tend to be taken for granted. The most effective way to encourage discipline is by encouraging good behavior and communicating our appreciation and acknowledgment for the steps children take in the realization of their responsibilities.

True freedom comes from true. Self discipline. It leads to freedom from anxiety and fear, bringing about self-reliance in individuals. It is when one is particular about completing one's work on time that he doesn't need to worry about the same till actually he does so. It is when the same till actually he does so. It is when one is particular about keeping things back in where to find or retrieve from in time of need. Discipline cannot be enforced by thrusting a set of do's and don'ts on them but by being examples ourselves and keeping the line of communication open and developing a healthy relationship of trust with children. This trust brings about ease and comfort in discussing the negative behavior too with children. It is important that our children know and understand why certain behavior in undesirable or may be inappropriate.

It is when children realize that their decision and actions affect everyone or the situation around them, that they would truly be motivated to be responsible for their actions. Let us be partners with children in the journey of self-realization called, discipline!
